Hyundai Santa Fe: Rear Shock Absorber. Repair procedures
Removal

| 1. |
Remove the rear wheel and tire (A) from rear hub .

| 2. |
Support the rear lower arm (A) with a jack as shown in the illustration.
|
| 3. |
Loosen the bolt (A-1ea) and then remove the rear shock absorber
cover (B).
|
| 4. |
Remove the rear wheel guard.
|
| 5. |
Loosen the bolt (A,B) & nut (C) and then remove the rear shock
absorber bracket (D).

Loosen the nut (A) and then remove the rear shock absorber (B).

Remove the rear wheel and tire (A) from rear hub .
|
| 2. |
Support the rear lower arm (A) with a jack as shown in the illustration.

| 3. |
Loosen the bolt (A-1ea) and then remove the rear shock absorber
cover (B).

Loosen the bolt (A) & nut (B) and then remove the rear shock absorber
(C).
|
| 5. |
Check the rear alignment.
|
Inspection
| 1. |
Check the rubber parts for damage or deterioration.
|
| 2. |
Check the shock absorber for abnormal resistance or unusual sounds.
|
Installation
| 1. |
Installation is the reverse of removal.
