Hyundai Santa Fe: Knee Airbag (KAB) Module. Repair procedures
Removal
| 1. |
Disconnect the battery negative cable and wait for at least three
minutes before beginning work.

| 2. |
Remove the crash pad lower panel.
|
| 3. |
After loosening the mounting nuts and then remove the knee airbag
(A).
|
| 4. |
Disconnect the knee airbag harness connector.
|
Installation
| 1. |
Remove the ignition key from the vehicle.
|
| 2. |
Disconnect the battery negative cable and wait for at least three
minutes.
|
| 3. |
Connect the knee airbag connector.
|
| 4. |
Tighten the knee airbag mounting nuts.
|
| 5. |
Install the crash pad lower panel.
|
| 6. |
Install the crash pad side cover.
|
| 7. |
Reconnect the battery negative cable.
|
| 8. |
After installing the knee airbag, confirm proper system operation:
